We rode on I-10 East for most of the trip today. Highway 46 through the town of Boerne (pronounced Bernie) was scenic and beautiful. It was over 100 degrees going through Houston with lots of fast moving traffic.

We're away from everybody here and the sun has quickly fallen as it is wont to do in the flatlands. Dinner was "lefties" from last eve. The chicken had been grilled on the Q and the pasta had a few miles on it, but the Lynn did her usual doctoring and made it fine.

... up on the news and showered night and morning in Jasper. The motel was $50 flat, and humble. Woke up at 7AM again, and was out before 9 after quick continental breakfast of cold cereal and coffee. I should add that I wasted most of a pound of popcorn shrimp purchased, because its alot more than it sound slike and fried. ... Well I gave myself a look over, and realized there was a massive loss of all my skin layers at the knee-cap. Bad spot. But I look at the cop and tell him I'm good. Then I begin to pull off all my luggage so that I can get the bike right side up. And the cop just stands there. No! Sits there in his car. Doesn't offer to help at all as I try to hoist up over 700 pounds on my own. I wuz definitely saying some words about him under my breath.
