We were even told to keep the combination code to the gate lock at the fairgrounds in case we ever pass through there again and need a free place to stay. I really love small towns and I’m really humbled by how inviting they’ve been to us…

... fiasco we decided to get some lighter fluid and some presto logs. The wood was HARD wood. Oak, I'm sure. That's all over down here. Tonight I asked the attendant what kind of wood it is.. "Oak, hickory and some other wood," probably hardwood. So tonight we are ready for any wood they want to throw at us. We also found a liquor store and got some rum and Kahlua. We were on I-40 all day. We got on in construction, one lane but it was moving pretty good ...
