... fun at all!" Thanks for the observation, dude. Many other cars pulled up and just about everyone had some little remark about how what I was doing was hard or how they'd never want to be in my place. What a contrast to my last interaction with people. As I was finishing up repacking, I heard one last "you look like you're having no fun at all" from the first man as he drove away. Oh man ...

Me: this morning when we left camp in MO at 4:22am about an hour later Rob said, "I just had a horrible thought, did you see Ryan before we left? The mountain was so enormous that we both found ourselves a bit intimidated. ...

We were up early this morning due to another time zone change. Colorado is in Mountain Standard Time so we're now two hours behind home.

It was cool and clear, somewhere around 58 degrees in the morning. Another great night at one of the newer style hotels, Best Western Plus.

Let me explain: Traditional hotels have either a King or 2 double beds (or Queens). Our family of four is way too big to share just two beds so we prefer to ...

    Almost in Colorado, again.

Left our little part of Paradise at the Lake this morning.
    Drove through Kansas City.
Further down the track we drove past the Wizard of Oz Museum at Wamego, Kansas. In 1907 Frank Baum wrote the "Wizard of Oz". Later made into a movie starring Judy Garland, the story immortalized the little girl from Kansas, Dorothy Gale, who was transported by a Kansas tornado to the magical Land of Oz. Dorothy's house is in ...
