The ticks were up with the sun this morning. I left camp at 6:15AM after just cramming everything in a temporary spot in my panniers. I pushed my bike up the tick infested hill and discovered a flat tire. I was able to inflate it, and I rode to the truck stop a mile up to debug and sort my gear. My flat was due to a defective tube. A man pulled up and told me "you look like you're ...

The mountain was so enormous that we both found ourselves a bit intimidated. ...

It didn't take long for the kids to hit the pool and the famed water slides. Canyon and I took a paddle boat on the lake (pictures below) and Canyon provided some interesting video of each water slide (also below).

    Almost in Colorado, again.

Left our little part of Paradise at the Lake this morning.
    Drove through Kansas City.
Further down the track we drove past the Wizard of Oz Museum at Wamego, Kansas. In 1907 Frank Baum wrote the "Wizard of Oz". Later made into a movie starring Judy Garland, the story immortalized the little girl from Kansas, Dorothy Gale, who was transported by a Kansas tornado to the magical Land of Oz. Dorothy's house is in ...
