With a quick check of the AFLC Pastor's directory we located the home of longtime friends and ministry partners, the Bensons. Unannounced, we dropped in and spent some time catching up with Pastor Jon Benson, his wife Jeanette, and their son "former youth ministry intern" Andy. After a season of rousing conversation and Lincoln Log building it was time to hit the road again; but we didn't make it far due ...

During the week we saw some of the sights around Fort Atkinson. We went to Janesville to the Rotary Gardens. Very pretty. We went to the Hoard Museum and Dairy Museum. We drove around Lake Koshkonong, a very large lake.
Here are a few photos of the gardens and some other sights.

      ... I crawled into bed.

Morning came quickly. We woke to falling snow—about a half inch, so we got snow during camp after all! It made it a bit messy for packing up, but that is what winter is all about. We had a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash browns, turkey bacon, yogurt, fresh fruit, cold cereals, oatmeal and beverages to send us all on our long trips home. We had a final Compass Check, and then everyone said their goodbyes. ...
