... the woods of La is something I would never do again...but it's something I can say I did. Thank goodness for the much-needed margarita before to aid in the decrease of my awareness ;) the night ended with of course a scary movie, "scarecrow", of which I will never put myself through to watch again! ... to its Mississippi cousin. Louisiana at this latitude is unexpectedly flat and agricultural. Huge expanses of carefully tilled earth stretch away from either side of the long straight road. Soil looked black and rich. Could have grown anything there I guess. I bet it floods easy too. After crossing the Red River at Alexandria the agriculture gives way to infinite forests of pine. Nothing to do but roar on skirting the Fort Polk Military Reservation to Leesville.

Wow, its Easter Sunday!!!! Can not believe how time is flying!!!! Well, we left the camp and was home by noon. We had brunch....Sarge was in his glory sausage gravy and biscuits!!!! ... is across the lake. Sat around and visited with all the camp folks....Jimmy made his famous ribs...wow cooked for 8 hours...fell off the bones. We had splash beans....found out today what there were. Someone spilled the beans, no pun intended....so they are now called splash beans. White, red and pinto beans mixed with spices very good. Sat and chatted at the campfire all evening...late night again. ...
