Only took a couple of hours to get into Dallas and to the JFK Museum, the drive being a bit hairy through the city, but the GPS did us proud and we made it safely, and got parking a few blocks away. Luckily for us the crowd was not huge (there are millions of visitors annually), especially seeing as it's a long weekend and we got tickets easily and then had a look at the actual site of the shooting - graphically marked with a cross on ...

... we'll be leaving quite early to stay out of the heat of the day. ... temp was 99! It's now 101 as I write this and the wind is blowing across this crazy odd landscape at high speed. Dinner, I think, will consist of leftovers.....it's too darn hot to cook!
