      Day 1 - and 547 miles

A travel blog entry by expeditioners on May 22, 2014

The first day and 500 miles behind us. The objective was to get past Dallas and I'm glad I did. We ended up at a roadside campground that I was able to pull right in and leave the car hitched. Just plugged in, turned on the A/C and hit the bed.
The travel has been good so far. Texas roads are a bit worse than Louisiana but traveling through Dallas is not for a novice especially in motorhome.

Looking forward to New Mexico. The planned stop is a town called Santa Rosa.

While at Runaway Bay we played golf and were treated as special guests as this is one of our investment perks. We would like to come back to the course during the peak season to see the improvements that are to follow.

On the way we passed through Onley. This is the home of the one armed dove hunt. We are not sure if they hunt one-armed doves or the hunt doves one ...

On our way through Texas. Everyone has so much land. Everything is so spread out. We, of course, saw oil rigs along the way. We saw a bunch of windmills ( wind turbines) along the route. We even saw some on the trucks in pieces that were bringing them to be set up. Yay! We gained an hour! Gotta love time zones! One more hour we can drive now. Ended up stopping in Tucumcari, New Mexico instead. Glad to be out of ...

... envy and division, receiving revelation and help and provision and healing from the Most High, asking forgiveness A LOT and moving forward in grace, writing a little book, and above all turning to face Jesus literally and actually and then surrendering the loads of things needed to stay there facing Him.

Just this past week we are realizing some of the things we have been trying to experience on this trip. Real God's honest unity, ...
