    Day 1 and 547 miles

A travel blog entry by expeditioners on May 22, 2014

The first day and 500 miles behind us. The objective was to get past Dallas and I'm glad I did. We ended up at a roadside campground that I was able to pull right in and leave the car hitched. Just plugged in, turned on the A/C and hit the bed.
The travel has been good so far. Texas roads are a bit worse than Louisiana but traveling through Dallas is not for a novice especially in motorhome.

Looking forward to New Mexico. The planned stop is a town called Santa Rosa.

While at Runaway Bay we played golf and were treated as special guests as this is one of our investment perks. While this is the ending of the winter months the golf course reflects some of the hardship from the lack of rain during the fall season. We would like to come back to the course during the peak season to see the improvements that are to follow.

On our way through Texas. Everyone has so much land. Everything is so spread out. We, of course, saw oil rigs along the way. We saw a bunch of windmills ( wind turbines) along the route. We even saw some on the trucks in pieces that were bringing them to be set up. Yay! We gained an hour! Gotta love time zones! One more hour we can drive now. Ended up stopping in Tucumcari, New Mexico instead. Glad to be out of ...

... oneness. The way Jesus talks about and teaches us in John 17. Not grit your teeth gotta be together, real sweet surrendered togetherness. FOR THIS I PRAISE GOD OUT LOUD WITH MY WHOLE HEART AND SHOUT FROM MY SPIRIT THANK YOU JESUS! Our sincere desire is for us all, all who call on the name of Jesus to experience oneness together, because Jesus said as we do the world will believe.

Thank you so much to those who we have fellowshipped with along ...
