    Have been busy with family so missed a blog. Drove from Guttenberg to Clintonville via Lacrosse on Friday. La Crosse is on the Mississippi and is a very beautiful town. went to Grandad Bluff where we overlooked the town and river. Lovely drive from there to our relatives.     ... moving pretty early, as many of the pilots, especially the warbirds, go out for early morning flights.

    I got up and wandered around, logged onto the web to post yesterday's blog, and generally relaxed while Alex slept in. Considering he didn't go to bed until midnight, and me until 12:30 in the morning, the sleep was welcome, and still not nearly enough.

    ... The first other plane we saw in the air was the B-17 when we were turning downwind to runway 27. Amazingly enough, there was a big lull right as we landed.Speaking of runway 27, it turns out that is not the runway I wanted to land on. Although homebuilt camping is just off the far left corner of the runway, I was made to exit to the right and taxi a little over 3 miles (per my GPS) to get to our parking spot.
