I miss the old kickstart routine -- the precarious combination of balance and thrust as the motorcycle rider jumps on the pull out starter lever trying to generate enough explosive force to to turn the engine over and ignite it. If you were lucky it would start with a roar and a cloud of exhaust in under three tries. If you were unlucky you would fall off and break your ankle.
