      Very nice room...virtually no services

No coffee for the coffee maker in the room; no Internet access. Clean, though, and a big room with comfortable bed.

Unable to restart the engine & basic knowledge of boats growing up on water ( my brothers will disclaim that theory) I grabbed boat hook and pulled an ol' pail and rope wound around prop. We were on our way back to dock and did not crash into Andy's boat. Good thing as He is still in Seattle ...

... Smoky Mountains to Cherokee, North Carolina. The plan was to hike here and there, but, aside from a short "quiet walk" just off the road into the forest, the rain prevented us from doing pretty much anything but drive. We drove to the highest point in Tennessee, called "Clingman's Dome", where you can climb a hill with an observation tower and, ...

... Nascar Hall of Fame, and Charlotte motor speedway. Actually, it was Bec's idea to do the drive in 2 shifts and have a day in Charlotte, so I have to thank her for thinking outside the box on that one.

We managed to split the driving pretty much 50/50 today so we are both a little road weary. No photos either. Photo's of being between 2 semi trailers on the interstate don't make for good viewing. I can assure you that tomorrows photos will make up for the lack of shots today.

This is where we begin our adventure. Our home is in Charlotte. We do leave behind our two girls, their husbands and the three grandchildren, Jeremy, Kaitlyn and Riley. We also leave behind two adorable step grands...Britney and Dillon. We will miss all of them terribly.
