No coffee for the coffee maker in the room; no Internet access. Clean, though, and a big room with comfortable bed.

... enjoy the amazing view. The weather was not permissive, and we didn't even bother to get out of the car. Funnily, Mark was there twenty years ago and had rain then as well although not as much. He climbed the tower then, but didn't have a great view. Ok, so today we have a really boring update - we drove.

We set out from Washington this morning with the view of making it to Greensboro in North Carolina. But after lunch today we made a decision to press on to Kannapolis or Concord for the night. So as it plays out, we have all day tomorrow in Charlotte to visit race ...

This is where we begin our adventure. Our home is in Charlotte. We do leave behind our two girls, their husbands and the three grandchildren, Jeremy, Kaitlyn and Riley. We also leave behind two adorable step grands...Britney and Dillon. We will miss all of them terribly.

Then we saw a sign with North Myrtle Beach and we decided to come to South Myrtle Beach. Of we go to Myrtle beach .As we were driving here we saw a lot of swamps and old colonial house and the people was out cleaning around the land ad all the rotten wood and the brush was just piled and left there. It was a different picture in my mind.

... The couple here from Texarkana won several items. So we'll have to tell Roy & Kate Nicholson about it.

After dinner the evenings entertainment started. Tonight it was a band called FLASHBACK, can you tell what they sang? Well they would have sung more but there was an accident which brought everything to a screeching halt! During one song there were several people dancing when one of them fell (no it wasn't me). ...
