In Puerto Vallarta we're taking the complete city tour that includes a stop at a Tequilla factory...sweeeet! We can also set up this tour to go to anywhere we'd like, like the beach, which sure sounds good to me! Can't wait.

... diversion into Great Smoky Mountain National Park to see the fall colors. A week from tomorrow, we'll be back at our friend Pat's Place, in Webster, Florida, where warm weather awaits!

We obtained baseball tickets online for a game between Tampa Bay and Detroit on Sunday, August 30, 2009 in Detroit (Comerica Park). We sat in section 121OD, row 9, seats 9-12. They were excellent seats. We were within 25' of the Tampa Bay dugout. The Tigers won 4 to 3. After the game, we took the people mover (monorail system) and had dinner in Greek Town.

Frankenmuth - "Michigan's Little Bavaria" began with the founding of St. Lorenz Church in 1845. Frankenmuth is well known for Bavarian heritage, hospitality, and charm. Frankenmuth is re-known for its German festivals, food, shopping and dining. We ate at the Bavarian Inn. Established in 1888, the restaurant is famous for its all-you- can-eat chicken dinners and its Wiener Schnitzel.

Frankenmuth is also the home of Bonner’s – the World’s largest Christmas store.

Vidon Plastics is owned by the Dube family. They manufacture multiple extruded parts and primarily sell to commercial and automotive industries. The plant occupies 50,000 square feet and is located on eight acres of land in Lapeer, MI. There is plenty of room for further expansion. The Company employs about 50 people; work 3 shifts and has a gain sharing program. Tour of the plant was most impressive.

We're heading west to go home after a fantastic summer.

It feels so right to be back on my bike again, it's like we never parted.

Was on the road by noon. A good, albeit wet, ride today. A bit of delay at the Sarnia/Port Huron border for Matt to renew his visa waiver form but no complaints ...

... eating all their food when we get close to them, ha ha watch out. Such a great learning experience that taught us stacks about Permaculture and American ecologies. We are looking forward to implementing more in the future.

Sad to leave our friends but ready to have a break for our brains and some rest in our beds (3 hours sleep 4 nights in a row is not enough!! We are too old too old).

At this time I will be getting off my plane in Flint, Michigan. There, I will meet my cousin who will drive me 3 hours to Bay View. Rest to be added once it actually happens.......

... I AM BACK IN THE US. And now that I am finally home, my stomach is trying to kill me. Horrible pain! What a wonderful welcome back! I am also happy to report that onle one thing got broken in my luggage! And it was oversized and packed poorly, so that was my fault. And none of my bootleg CDs or DVDs were taken when my bags were searched! Go me! I miss Indonesia ...
