This will be the last entry from Demopolis for awhile. We take a bus from here to Burmingham to pick up a rental car, get an international drivers license, take our laptops to get repaired, and a little shopping.

The next day from there to the Demopolis lock was another steaming hot day followed by an afternoon storm again with a lot of lightning so close I was afraid to stand on the bow to watch ...

They will spend the night here at Pirates Cove Marina and get a fresh start in the morning. As for what they decide to rig up on the cooling system, we'll just have to wait to find that out.
... intake valve itself that keeps closing when it hits turbulence in the water. When they can make it to a marina with facilities, they hope to use the marina's lift to hold up the boat so that this valve can be replaced. In the meantime, they will keep their eyes on the thermometer and have the Dawn and Tide close at hand since this seems to work wonders.
