Since Monday, we've kept busy, walking each morning at a track behind the YMCA. It's about .8 of a mile. We're walking just over three miles, there, around and back to the Days Inn. We've met lots of friendly folks here. Most are amazed that we are from so far away and some aren't even sure where Montana is. I'm wondering myself, at this point.
Lynn made the pasties one night and then made here famous meat loaf ...
... with good food. Then we went food shopping again.
Lynn made pasties. Our niece, Stacy, couldn't make it, due to car problems. The four of us had an excellent meal. The pasties were delicious. We left several for them to eat after we've gone.
Today, Monday, we drove north, about an hour, to Blue Ridge, where we had spent a summer in 1971. Here we boarded the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, for a foliage tour. ...
... We're at a basic Day's Inn for the next six nights so we can visit and tour around a bit. For dinner we drove to "Goin' Coastal," a seafood bar and restaurant Lynn found on Trip Advisor. We shared a Sausage and Cheese Grits entree and it was great. Along with a green salad and a few mini-muffins of cornmeal, we had a fine meal.

Theme for the day: Everyone calm down!! It was epic just to get on the road today. Most of the packing was done last night and we just had to load this morning. Yeah, things are never that simple. I thought we could be off by 7:30 but it was more like 10:00. We stopped at the hospital and said goodbye to Ralph and headed down the road. We made it to my Dad's tonight. We all ate dinner and ...
... with Stuart and Char. They had just returned from Greece and made a wonderful Greek meal. I do miss Char. We liked cooking together and had a lot in common. Stuart even did some magic for us! They say they are planning to come to Tahoe for our pig roast in October. Awesome! So glad we were able to squeeze this day in. Don't want to lose touch with old ...
