    Now that we have been here for a couple of days it was time to see some of the attractions. Pivot Point is a starting point to wander along the shore of the Colorado River and some of the areas historical sites. The Territorial Prison State Park and Quartermasters State Park are both in walking distance. Since it was later in the afternoon we decided not to pay the entrance fee to the prison and instead walked over to the Quartermaster compound which was free ...

    ... loved it there). We have to be in Las Vegas by
    March 10th for our flight to Cancun. That is where our daughter is
    getting married.

    ... Arizona where he had it pieced back together and erected across a portion of the Colorado River. At first I was confused about the timeframe because the nursery rhyme (London Bridge is Falling Down) seemed to me to be much older than the 1960s! And that is true. Apparently, the London Bridge was replaced a total of 3 or 4 times in its history. The nursery rhyme is from one of the earliest. We wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!     ... in size and has 130km of shoreline. There are many hiking trails around the park and the lake is well used by boaters, swimmers and divers. Another happy hour, then supper in the hall for a catered Texan BBQ. There was brisket, chicken, sausages, coleslaw, and beans. We had pecan pie, cookies and Texan ice cream for dessert. We spent the rest of the evening playing Joker.

    Next morning we all met in the hall for a get together ...
