Homes that had obviously had a fire some time in the past were left standing-- it seemed like people just walked away from their homes but they stood there in whatever state or experienced vandalism after they walked away.     ... this behavior (other than I suspected we had a software issue in some avionics system's software and it might not have been possible to "reboot" it in-flight.) It seemed that most people finally figured out the system wasn't working correctly and managed to kill the reading lights for everyone for the rest of the flight.
