We have had a few days to unwind and catch our breath. It is good to be home and back with friends and family. It takes about a week for the body to adjust to the time change and some time to step back into our own culture.

... then more water. Pretty incredible, really. We had a 140 mph tail wind at one point that we noticed, so no wonder we arrived 40 minutes before scheduled. The 7 hours and 20 minutes went fast. John seemed to enjoy absolutely everything, except when the flight attendant strongly suggested that he close his window because they had darkened the cabin so people could sleep. He didn't understand her at first, and then he didn't really want to lose his window ...

... Probably the guy's wife and daughter!'. The weekend though is a lot of fun and the fireworks were right up there alongside Sydney on New Year's Eve. We also make time for a day trip to our old stomping ground; The Northeastern State University campus in Tahlequah. Karen has a glazed look over her face for much of the day though as we relive some old memories in great detail. Back in Tulsa, we are put up by my mate Ryan's lovely ...
We all arrived at the airport between 4:30 and 5 am to check-in. Traveling internationally our bags have to be under 50 pounds. Most of us were at about 49.5 lbs.
We are excited to go to China and start our adventure in Beijing. We have a long flight a head of us. We fly less than two hours to Chicago, 4 hour layover (didn't happen), and a 13 + hour flight to Beijing.
