Today was all interstate and toll roads. Thank goodness for EZ Pass. Since it is Saturday there was no rush hour traffic. Just lots and lots of construction. I will be taking a hot shower soon to loosen up my muscles.oderate temperatures, blue sky, and all kinds of pollen ...

Within a day of leaving the Black Hills we had crossed the Missouri River. We swept onto a long causeway almost unexpectedly. It was late in the afternoon, we were in a hurry and there was nowhere to stop and take in the scene. Jo had only a moment to snap a photo from the back of the bike. It is a 'stick-style' Victorian house, once a convent, but now a fabulously quaint and ornate B&B. We have just had a wonderful impromptu dinner with our hosts, some local friends and another guest. Taken aback by such generous hospitality, it just shows that if you can't win them all, you can certainly win some of them.

... as did the aerial shot of my chocolate-iced cinnamon bun...) Glazed doughnuts from 7-11 are still the best.

The Butler Institute of Art featured lots super colorful abstract stuff, plus American Impressionists and portrait artists. My favorite piece was all purple and based on Romulus and Remus (Rome's foundation myth) and I took a video of it (accidentally erased) and there's no image available online. Deep breath... there will be more ...
