We had a great day in Birmingham. We dropped into a local winery to taste some local flavours and chose a couple a bottles to take away with us. Yum!

Southern hospitality is not a myth

... by to visit. He had such an accent and talked so fast that I really couldn't understand him at all when he spoke to me. Something about being a Yankee and sweet tea. The conversation always comes back to sweet tea. He liked to joke but he was a very nice guy.

What I learned from my trip to Hayden, AL is that southern hospitality is not a myth. It is alive and well, and I am so happy to have experienced it for myself from such wonderful people.
