    We got up at 2:30 in the morning to start our EPIC road trip of a lifetime! Then we hit the road at 3:15 and it was smooth sailing to Chicago. Annalena had no problem sleeping for the majority of the drive, and the rest of the time she was happy and excited to be in the car. It was a great start to our trip.

    Hi everyone, Time sure is going by fast. Here we are in September and Jeff and I will be heading to Belize in less than a month. One more week in Michigan with family before heading to Las Vegas for a week. You would think we would tire of our wanderings but each stop brings a new adventure/experience.     ... after lunch. Lunch was at a local staple: Brown's Hot Dogs...it's being run by the second generation and they boasted the best coney dogs in the area, so, of course, we had to try them! They did NOT disappoint. :) Ed, the owner, fed us on the house, which was completely unexpected and very much appreciated. I highly recommend trying them out when you're in the area...

    As the trip comes to an end it seems bittersweet and sad to say goodbye. Goodbye to 10 of the most amazing people I have ever had the opportunity to know. While it really isn't goodbye because we will see each other again it is the end of our journey. We won't wake in the morning complaining about the rooster or share a hug, thought or prayer.
