It was double date night - Krista's brother wanted to go to a French restaurant so he could get Foie Gras (which is illegal in california). So, it was off to a French restaurant. Not exactly what I wanted, especially since I was about to spend 2 weeks in France.

From Wednesday - Monday we hung out with randy and Teresa hall who live in Alvin, Texas. Near Houston. They have a beautiful home on 10 acres with lots of animals. Horses, chickens, 3 dogs and a cat. We met these lovely people in Fiji when we were at the namale resort in November 2012. We swapped details and they said if we were in Texas come for a week and they would show us a Texan time. ... a toll plaza, I noticed the sign for those cars without the ez tag. It told them to approach the gate with caution and there was a $1.50 minimum charge. I know it meant that you had to pay $1.50 and no less but in a moment of whimsy, I took it to mean that you could pay $1.50 or any amount over that you wanted!
