A great spot - right on Stewart Beach.  Windy and cool, but still a fun place to be at $43/night.    Heard from the front desk that "The Spot" is a great place to eat, so we went there the first night and found fabulous Happy Hour Specials - great apps @$6.00 (oysters for Greg, ...

      Date night

It was double date night - Krista's brother wanted to go to a French restaurant so he could get Foie Gras (which is illegal in california). So, it was off to a French restaurant. Not exactly what I wanted, especially since I was about to spend 2 weeks in France.

Well I tried the Conch in ...

From Wednesday - Monday we hung out with randy and Teresa hall who live in Alvin, Texas. Near Houston. They have a beautiful home on 10 acres with lots of animals. Horses, chickens, 3 dogs and a cat. We met these lovely people in Fiji when we were at the namale resort in November 2012. We swapped details and they said if we were in Texas come for a week and they would show us a Texan time. And show up we did, we had a blast with these wonderful people! Randy is something out of a ...

      $1.50 minimum

A travel blog entry by carpefeline on Mar 30, 2011

... a toll plaza, I noticed the sign for those cars without the ez tag. It told them to approach the gate with caution and there was a $1.50 minimum charge. I know it meant that you had to pay $1.50 and no less but in a moment of whimsy, I took it to mean that you could pay $1.50 or any amount over that you wanted! I just couldn't imagine someone pulling up to the toll plaza personnel ...
