... back to Bush Street we walk back to the station. There is a line but nothing like the one earlier in the day. We wait about 45 minutes and while there are empty cars nothing seems to be moving. A transit authority worker tells the crowd there is a tree down on the line and it could be up to 4 hours before the cars are running again. ... saw how watered down it was of China! I did not realize how westernized Chinatown was before going to China. Most of the stores were selling stereotypical Chinese items and dresses. A lot of the stores were playing American music not Chinese music. As for anything Chinese, I noticed was the Chinese people in Chinatown spoke Cantonese not Mandarin and the signs were in traditional characters.
