Left South Bend around 1pm after doing a load of washing at Cheryl's. Very kind of her. We had been round a bonfire last night so some clothes smelt of smoke of course. We had a lovely lovely time at theirs. Mainly relaxing and chatting and drinking and eating. We were made very welcome and would defo come again as they asked f we would. Travelled to Pentwater where we are stopping for one night at Days ...

There is a large casino and hotel called Blue Chip. The casino part is built in the water and the hotel is on land. The place was really big and very busy at 11:00 in the morning when we checked it out! Lots and lots of rich looking older people playing the slots! Just the set the record straight, we were not counted as some of the older people playing the slots since we didn't play!
... The first station was about 5 miles into the race. Mary Lee Hultin this one's for you! Yes he did drink, eat his Gatorade chews and even some blueberries along the way. We met up with another family waiting for their Dad also. As the morning went on, we encountered them several times. They even had signs to cheer him on.....too bad we didn't think of that. He looked pretty good, being only two minutes off the pace he wanted to be at.

What another wonderful day in Northern Michigan! We started the day with a long bike ride to a Lighthouse a few miles north of our campground along the coast. Then we road our bikes along the Big Sable river to a place called the Hamlin Dam. Lots of kids were fishing there. We had to get back to the RV for lunch because we had to switch sites for our 2nd night here by 1pm. After we did that we put on our bathing suits and got back on our bikes to head across the street ...
