    ... we were tormented all the way by killer mosquitoes! We hoped for two slices of pie as a reward for having survived the ordeal, but we could not find any ;-(. We had the great idea to head on to Fulton, but once we got there we could not rememember what the attraction was nor how it had gotton on to our list of "things to see" :-).....     ... And trust us, it wasn't always easy (especially for the one who always thought she was right).

    Flexibility was key. We were both open to changing our plans for the day if something better came up or if the day wasn't working out quite the way we had hoped.

    Having our own personal space where we could retreat to read, relax or sleep was a lifesaver.

    ... have baked me chocolate chip cookies to send with me when I go and they have made my entire trip ten times better. (Thanks everyone!) I was driving down the road, it finally stopped raining, and was enjoying my new Tom Petty CD at top volume. It was a great drive today. I loved driving along, headed west, watching the corn fields get more and more frequent on the side of the highways. Soon it was mostly corn fields, which I find very relaxing ...

    ... I am waiting for them to make it well-done for me. Well! THAT was worth the wait! It was delicious. Well done and not even a little bit of fat. ( I hate meat fat!). The creamed spinach and fresh green beans were excellent too. The only big surprise was realizing the woman a couple tables over has lit up a cigarette!! Funny, it wasn't THAT long ago in Huntsville. I am SOOOO glad people don't smoke in restaurants any more in ...
