... stopped for hours or just crawling along at 2-5MPH for a couple
hours. Also, this same experience can be had on I-95 in VA between DC
and Fredricksburg, VA. Today, we lucked out and ran the HOV lane from
outside DC for the full length of about 20 miles. The regular lanes
South were blocked and inching along for the entire 20 miles. Once we
exited the HOV lanes, and merged with S I-95 it was another 25 miles of

... much more to discover. The people there are very kind to tourists and are always willing to help. Even though I am not much of a "city girl" I still loved the environment of Sydney and Cairns was my favorite place of all. It is truly a sad state of affairs.

One of the other notable observations while on this journey occurred while staying overnight in the Silicon Valley of California, or ...

... little expedition, we found zero damage inside the camper when we returned. This was a huge relief! We were quite convinced that we would be drastically over our weight, and that everything not bolted down in the camper would fly loose and wreak havoc while we drove down the road. Discovering we were wrong was delightful!

The final success of yesterday was the reason I did not have a chance to update the blog last night. Someone walked up to our campsite after ...

Well this great adventure is almost over.....just a few miles and the CBBT between me and home. It has been a wonderful summer and great adventure. Some of the things that stand out the most are:
We very rarely turned on the truck radio, we talked and joked a lot, we traveled some of the scariest and bumpiest roads in America, we saw so many awsome sights, we met so many nice people, we now have been in every state in the US except Kansas, Nebraska, and ...
