... a lot more enjoyable than the rides we'd had before through Pensilvania further down the state. As we'd set off late today we had trouble deciding where to stay as we were running out of sunlight. Free grabbing some food for dinner at a supermarket, we lucked out and found a secluded clearing by the lake that was perfect for camping overnight. It was dark by the time we finished setting up and ate so just got a decent nights sleep for the day ...

... we found the Westfield Outdoor Market. Same kind of theme, but more farmers and Amish items. I got some postcards that were made from photos taken by a local photographer.
Then we finally made it to the lake and saw the adorable paddle boat but we had missed the tour.
Oh well, we still had a good time!

We decided to stay close to 'home' today. We drove to Point Gratiot and the Dunkirk Lighthouse which are only about 2 minutes down the road. They even had a spot reserved for my mom! ... would expect in a state park, but, instead it is a long looped road that takes you from one end to the other with beaches and boating and lighthouses along the sides. There are tons of places to park and walk or fish or sun bathe. It's all kept very natural looking with huge trees that not only shade you, but that arch across the roads. ... who were happy we had come back. One family was so annoyed by the protesters that, after enjoying the first show, they came back to COUNTER-protest the protesters with some homemade signs. Love the support! :)

We're getting closer to the Cleveland area with each jump...John was born and raised there and I lived there for a decade. We have family and friends who are coming out to various shows in the area over the next week. Can't wait to see you guys!
