    ... didn't really enjoy it. We were slightly apprehensive of the parking in Amarillo but we didn't even know if it was safe or unsafe. Clearly, it was fine because no one broke into our car. I was just picturing vagrants breaking in and have a trunk show out of our wardrobe in the van. Really nothing of value. My underwear was still there.

    ... been featured on Food Network (one of my fave TV channels) so that made it even more special. It was a quinessential old style diner and, as we have noticed every where in the South, the people were so friendly and enjoyed chatting with us. They always want to know where "ya'all" are from and headed :) It was another perfect Historic Route 66 moment!

    We enjoyed the rolling hills of Oklahoma noticed it had the beautiful red soil like Georgia and Kaua'i.
