    ... big! And it's one of the only zoos in the country that's still free to visit. I looked around at most of the exhibits, and it's quite nicely done. I also bought a stuffed toy racoon from the souvenir shop and a fleece sweater - cause today was really chilly! I now know why they call it the Windy City!! The only thing I didn't like about the zoo was all the kids running and screaming around everywhere. The animals don't like it and neither do I!! I don't do well with big crowds of ...

    A combination of (suspect) noise, jet lag and excitement meant another 5am start out of bed. Pottered around the hostel, had breakfast and out early to walk into the city.10 minutes into our day we were stood watching a polar bear (that Ni refused to believe we'd see in a park) having an early morning swim, followed by lions, tigers, monkeys and all for free at Lincoln Park Zoo.

    ... Ruskin University in Cambridge and, along with another Valpo student and good friend, will be staying with a host family for my duration abroad. I did apply for and was granted with a Gilman International Scholarship which did make this trip possible for me so if anyone would like any information about it I've been through the process and will help in any way I can :)
