        ... a different room. Wi fi worked and so did everything else. Things are looking up. I walked across the hwy to a restaurant and treated myself to a little steak and a margarita. Feeling pretty mellow I stopped at another place on the way back and had a wonderful mudslide made with real ice cream.

        I really didn't use the wifi all that much. by then I was tuckered and drifted off.

        Next I will tell you about the trip back to the boat the next day and what I found when I got there.

        ... ahead. 2 real fears were debris and logs washed into the river we might hit and sink us or a barge tow looming out of the gloom. We had nowhere to pull off the river so we slowed to idle and kept a close watch.
