We headed the other way up our street (W76th st) towards the Hudson River. Had our lunch there and then headed for a bit more of a walk then back to collect our luggage from our hotel. We caught the subway to Pennsylvania then got a ticket to catch the "air train" to JFK airport which only cost $8 each.

... the proper time! At 5.20 we were all belted in and our way wrapped in sleeping bags, ready to sit on the rim of the canyon and watch the sunrise. It was simply stunning.
