    We headed the other way up our street (W76th st) towards the Hudson River. Had our lunch there and then headed for a bit more of a walk then back to collect our luggage from our hotel. We caught the subway to Pennsylvania then got a ticket to catch the "air train" to JFK airport which only cost $8 each.

    ... was really good but far too much, my sandwich had a pile of pastrami, sauerkraut and melted cheese, I enjoyed the sauerkraut and the dill pickles as well. John's Woody Allen was absolutely huge, bigger than mine, he had all pastrami on one side and on the other was corned beef. We really made a mistake in having such a large meal so late in the evening, we need to stop doing this. We headed back to the hotel and had an early night because tomorrow we are off to New Orleans ...

    ... the proper time! At 5.20 we were all belted in and our way wrapped in sleeping bags, ready to sit on the rim of the canyon and watch the sunrise. It was simply stunning. With the stars fading and the sky lightening, we were treated to an actual sunrise, with not a cloud in the sky.
