    ... the plane's wing and severing the cable. The plane survived, and U.S. Guano successfully sued the Air Force for damaging their property, offsetting some of their losses. You can still see the points where the cable used to be attached to the side of the canyon and the cave in the distance where it led.

    ... amazing. They are huge casinos. Tables and tables, poker machine everywhere. The first thing we saw as we hopped off the plane were poker machines. A real gamblers paradise. We have an amazing view from our hotel. We can see down the strip and the Bellagio water fountain. Stunning. It seems we are going to be Very lucky again with the weather this week. It's looking good. Hopefully more on Vegas tomorrow. Going to see a show tomorrow ...

    ... set-up. The winds howling down the Gorge were frigid and the outside temperature was the in the mid-to-low twenties but here we have 50 Amps and it is quite toasty inside the RV. It was too cold to hook up the water hoses so we just topped up the fresh water drained the hose and started heating the tanks. Camping World and Wal-Mart are just a mile down the street and we had long planned on doing some shopping here since Oregon has no sales tax.
