... wont speak English anyway. It's just me, my bags, a pile of garbage and the dogs. All I can see is a bunch of people in with numbers on their chests running down the road. Now it dawns on me. This morning is apparently, the Cochabamba equivalent of the Great North Run. Perfect timing. Luckily, I didn't have to wait for more than ten minutes for another taxi to turn up. Keen to head off ASAP with no long farewells - donated some stuff to lighten my
load and got a ride to the micro stop. Was a really good ride back to
civilisation – the sun was shining, the views magnificent and we managed to get
around the queue of about a hundred lorries trying to get up that hill.

Straight to the last hostel to dump stuff and head ...

... people from leaving the capital. We checked into a hostel literally next door and had our own 3 man room. We coincidentally bumped into really old mates and others we had seen along the trip. After a pretty early start we all had a nap before George and I had a little scout around town for a bite to eat. Before we knew it was supper time and we got hold of the others and arranged a plan to see them later. Regrettably yet reassuringly we ended ...
