400 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, United States, 608-253-4451
Day 1: We left Mt Rushmore about 6.30am. The objective: to cover as many miles as we could. We drove through the vast plains of South Dakato, to the agriculture fields of Idaho, over the Missisippi River, through unbelievable strong winds, rain, and then sunshine, (and with a couple of the kids, not even getting out of their pyjamas!), we finally reached Wisconsin, 12 hours and 750 miles later - big drive and I am tired. Day 2: We stopped. Did Laundry, spoke to the nice Polish man (rich Polis...

... up as well as down, ha ha such fun. We came to this area because of the water parks, although it’s getting a little cold now, this would be a fun place to come in summer.

We also headed to the outlet malls to see if we could pick up some warm bargains. Jesse got a great jacket at a second hand shop but we both need a few more layers to keep us warm so we invested in some ...

It is amazing how friendly and helpful people become when you explain that you are living on the road, or they ask where home is and you point over your shoulder at the 8' x 20' box you are pulling down the highway.

I am finding that long distance hauling, even with a very good rack, is hell on the bikes. You can imagine ...

After breakfast we went to the Corn Palace, which on the inside is a Basketball Arena and Auditorium and on the outside looks like a bit of a cross between an old Odeon Cinema and the Taj Mahal, covered in ears of Corn on the Cob - do you get the picture? If not look at ours or go to the web. It is basically a giant bird ...

Friendship, Wisconsin, United States gosiajoey... to the shear cliffs that were a haven to many rock climbers who we met along the way. Many were older than us. The rock formations and views here were incredible. We took a boat tour through the Upper Dells where the Wisconsin River winds through sandstone cliffs and rock formations. Over the years, the Wisconsin Dells has become quite the resort town, but we passed up the water parks and mini golf.
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, United States rbluks... had 6 waterpark areas...3 outdoors and 3 indoors. There was this crazy ride called the hurricane, an indoor wave pool, and many other interesting things I'm never seen before. There were originally only 3 of us, but we were later joined by another 3 who live nearby in Reedsburg. Got some tasty pizza from Moosejaw, and spent the night playing Wii and hanging out. It was a good birthday party. We got a short hour of swimming in this morning and then headed home.
Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, United States rainydaygirl13... so in order to cross over the hills, even a relatively short climb takes a few miles. as we got closer and closer to the tunnel, the air started getting colder and more humid. the tunnels are big enough that they trap a lot of moisture and the temperature differential causes steam and moisture to emanate from the entrance. we came to the largest tunnel first. it clocks in at nearly 3/4 of a mile long, and since it has a slight bend, you can't even see the idiomatic light at the ...
