... until the ceilings break. Looking at the en route forecast, it appears what's keeping us on the ground is really just a low, thin broken layer. Most locations to the northwest show scattered clouds at 4500' and 6500'. So, presuming we can get around the layer at 1000', we'll be on our way. Jamie arrived at the hotel with Tuff and Marky and, after quickly catching up, we headed to the Stock Yards. ... approach to RWY 34. We parked at American Aero FBO and were met by a large SUV and baggage handlers. The woman greeting us even offered to take Ichabod for a walk. We obliged as Stacy and I traded the umbrella back and forth while unloading the plane. Great service and, because it is our first visit to Meachum, they waived the ramp and tie down fees.
