We spent the night in the RV at Cheaha State Park in Talladega Alabama.
We arrived early enough to take some pics as we headed up the mountain.
Poor RV had a tough time getting up some of the hills. I think we were down to about 15 MPH on a few of the steeper ones. What happens when we get out west :(

After being checked out she was driven back to the coach by a Shriner who stopped at the entrance to the tunnel at Turn 2 for several laps so she could see and feel the cars going overhead. ...

Gas across the Southern states is averaging $3.00 and I continue to average 8.5 MPG. Crossed numerous large rivers along the way today and through Talledega National Forest. Camped in Heflin, AL (halfway between Birmingham and Atlanta) for 2 nights.

Checked the weather in Ft Myers -- high of 85, low of 65 for the next several days. Sounds good to me! Still on track to arrive Ft Myers on Nov 20, if not before.

... into it in New Orleans. New Orleans is such a unqiue and multicultural city. We definately felt like a minority as 60% of its population is African-Americans. It has high murder and poverty rates and does smell a little like South America but the buildings are beautiful.

We spent most of our time listening to live music on Bourbon and Frenchmen st which was really awsome. You can see the French, Spanish and African influences in the architecture, ...
