So, I have seven days until I leave for Ireland and then Copenhagen. Just wanted to share some thoughts: 1) i'm not looking forward to packing. 2) but i AM looking forward to pulling out and using my pack for the first time in over five years, even if my back isn't. 3) the idea of seeing lydia in such a short period of time kind of makes me feel like christmas is right around the corner. or like im on the brink of some sort of discovery. or like the prettiest day of fall is ...

I leave for Ireland in twelve days. I am staying with my best friend Lydia Atkins for seven days where she is working and living in a community called Ballytobin. Then I will fly to Copenhagen, Denmark, on my own for three days. I will be alone but hopefully not lonely. At least that's the plan. Driving on the track where Southern legends created their legacies was awe-inspiring. Some classic pics in the winner circle saw us leave for the ...

        On the road again!!

We're hitting the road again today. We will be heading towards New Orleans to see the sights. Eboney has read a few books that mention the Lafayette cemetery so that will be one of the sights. Although we are driving, this is going to be a great Father's Day. I couldn't ask for anything more. This trip, and being with my family make it all worth it. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there including my own Jack, Jodi's dad Al, and stepfather ...

Monday morning - not feeling the most fittest person on the planet.

That has been one big week.

Said our farewells and did our flag swap - our Aussie flag for a Southern Carolina flag with our new friends.

Packed up and headed towards Atlanta and found this very quiet campground only 1 mile from the I20. It was called Cane 9 Campground and it is dog friendly. Pulled up and caught up on some snooze time.
