We woke up in heaven. After three nights of tent camping you sleep pretty good i. A real bed, especially when its a good one. we had set our alarm though so we'd be sure to make it to breakfast. The hotel breakfast was good. They had all the standard stuff, plus made to order eggs and pancakes, and I was happy to see for a fruit option they had sliced pineapple. We enjoyed our breakfast in a nice atrium area. Breakfast went until 9:00am but check out wasn't until noon. So ...

I don't know how people live here without singing it constantly!) In Oklahoma, we stopped at the Tinker ...

So glad I planned this trip the way I did with short (4-5 hr. drives) most days. It makes it nice to be able to stop and see things along the way. Unfortunately poor Holden is fighting a cold but at least we are at the start. Hope he feels better soon.
On the way out of town, there is a park in Nashville that has a full replica of the Parthenon. It was huge and amazing. We wandered around for a little while. After lunch ...

... there. We arrived around 11am and stopped for a few minutes to have a look around. While Dean was taking photos he noticed a lorry being emptied of its load. Nothing unusual there, except that it was on a lift that tilted the whole lorry. No need for dumper trucks ...
