So we made it to Sioux Falls and we are all in one piece at the KOA.

We have never hauled an RV before. Here are some problematic things if you rented an RV from a guy who didn't bother to condition the vehicle or make sure you're safely on your way and you're a rookie and haven't ever done it yourself:

... the Pacific from 1942-1945. When they scrapped "Old Nameless" in 1962, Sioux Falls couldn't get the whole battleship into landlocked South Dakota. So they salvaged what parts they could, poured a foot-high concrete outline onto the ground in Sherman Park along the banks of the Big Sioux River, and combined the pieces into a minimalist pseudo-replica.

The anchor, the ship's bell, a massive propeller, and other components are placed around the park ...

... We seen a lot of the farming side of South Dekota. Beef, dairy, corn, sunflowers, canola. And other varieties of crops I am not sure of. We were going to stay at Bonesteel ..but it was only a small town ..not sure if it even had accommodation. We then stopped at James River ...Julie and I surveying the bushes ..while Rich and Alister went in another direction . Place was swarming with little flies ..did not stay long. ... rest, have a drink and whatever else was necessary. There are some very good stopovers, generally every 50 miles and often have wifi, dispensing machines and a place to rest out of the sun. Towards the end of the day, you certainly need a snack to keep you going as the riding is exhausting.

We are also getting used to the foibles of the USA - light switches sideways or you flick up to use and not down like ours; door handles ...
