Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.
These mountain roads are something else, with scenery that is just breathtaking. We dont get into Redding till after 7pm, and find this really nice RV park off the highway and out of town. Doesnt take long to set up the tent, while Gerry is already set up with her camper van.
Not our usual Monday morning!...Sam trying to eject Lois from her bed and rush to the bus stop! Our morning started with a nice breakfast and then heading off towards the coast. ... capped mountains and probably had the quickest greens we have played on for the whole trip. We played with a local member and one of the golf shop staff. The weather and our company was great but our games need a little work before we hit the tee at Bandon Dunes!
Tomorrow we are off to Eugene, Oregon. It is about a 5 hour drive north from Redding. We will spend a couple of days there before we head to the coast and make a 3 day stop in Bandon, Oregon.

... judgement a bit on this RV park and the Redding/Red Bluff area since it was so oppressively hot at 106 degrees that we stayed in the A/C most of the day. Even the dogs didn't want to go out.
