... I had purchased it just so that if we saw something vaguely interesting we'd be able to check it out without thinking about what it would cost. So, here it is at the end of our first day and we haven't used the vaporetto pass nor the museum pass, and I can feel them laughing at me saying "sucker".... Kellie was lucky to get a taste.  On the walk back to the ...

... station – even though a short distance it was pouring with rain!

We then went for a wander and saw some sights – with most (other) tourists cowering in the rain.

And both David and I bought a bag – me a PURPLE one and DCD a large dark brown overnight bag. And they are both from a Florence maker – not a Chinese franchise – or so we hope.

Oh last night I had the most delicious Sword Fish Carpaccio!

... a little cranky (if he was a small child he would have had a full out meltdown) so we stopped at a little pizzeria. One order of spaghetti ragu, prosciutto pizza and a few proseccos - done. This felt Italian enough for all of us.

We walked around for literally hours through the streets of Venice, saw the Rialto bridge, lots and lots of shops (yes, I was in my glory), many street ...
