    ... last night. The concert was fantastic. The first half was Mozart and the second half Strauss. Susan you and the girls would have loved it they had some ballet dancers.     ... enjoyed the experience (complete with musician and singer 'O Sole Mia') it wasn't quite to romantic expectations. We were scheduled for midday in humid 27+ degree heat and busy so the ride took us down a stretch of the Grand Canal and down one alley looping back to the GC again. AND we couldn't get a photo together as we were seated apart.. suspect it was Ken balancing the gondolier at the back... never mind. Ken has some good video footage.

    Getting up early is the absolute worst. We were on our way out of the hostel by a little after 7am. The owner, I think her name was Melissa, came over to pack us some breakfast to go so we had some delicious Austrian pastries.
