Here I am, 7 PM, sitting in our tent with Alex, listening to a terrible thunder storm rage all around us. Winds greater than 40 knots, lighting flashes hitting just a second or two before the thunder, and the rain pounding against the side of our tent. But it has been a pretty good day, after all...

I woke this morning at 6, as much due to being too warm and the air too humid, as because of the flight of 4 P-51s and a B-25 that joined them. The show seems ...

... The first other plane we saw in the air was the B-17 when we were turning downwind to runway 27. Amazingly enough, there was a big lull right as we landed.Speaking of runway 27, it turns out that is not the runway I wanted to land on. ... and mobile and if you ever researched a trip like this you will soon come to the conclusion there really isn't a perfect time to blow that kind of money so just pull the pin and jump right in. Being this is truly a once and a lifetime trip and knowing that we won't be back we are trying to do it right the first time and getting the most of our travel and budget. When you think about it, how the hell can anyone afford this ...

We had a nice 3 days in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The town is named after Chief Oshkosh of the Menominee tribe. The town has a lot of old buildings and homes to look at. I was able to play pickleball and really enjoyed getting back on the court. There is Lake Winnebago and the Fox River with the town built around the shores. This is a nice town of little over 66,000 people and the summers are nice but ...

One of the things we did do to have the kids gear up for an eventual Disney trip was to have a Disney savings jar that they could add to anytime they got money
(birthdays, etc), and they each have saved up close to $100 to spend. Plus they each got a $50 gift card from grandma, so we should be all set for souvenir spending money. I hope we don't have to buy another suitcase to get it all home!

I wanted to make the trip extra special for the kids so I ...
