... cowboy country. Saw a lot of cattle and antelopes along the way, but not much else. Even a few miles away from Laramie there was nothing. During the early afternoon, we drove to the lower lake
campground on the Refuge. This was
incredible! In the middle of the valley,
adjacent to the lake and surrounded by vast white capped peaks! Swans, ibises, and all sorts of waterfowl

amazing. And the weather was wonderful,
in the 70s, sunny, breezes and 30s at night.
