... It created a whole different effect.
I stretched my arms above my head and woke from the dream. Not sand castles. Vedauwoo. Magical, spiritual Vedauwoo. Whose rock formations looked just like the sand castles I'd dreamt about. Southern Wyomiong, so far, is wide open spaces punctuated with by unusual rocky outcroppings. None of them quite like Vedauwoo. Thankful to have stumbled on this ...
... and people watching. We are having a lot of fun but we miss East Beach! The food finally came and we had pizza and hamburgers. We stayed at KOA campground in our TunoFun. We are headed to Jackson Hole Wyoming which is a 7 hour drive!!! Another big day for Bruce but he can do it. Enjoy your day!! See you all in 12 days!

We shopped for food and departed west Yellowstone in the
early afternoon thinking we would find a campsite on the Caribou-Targhee
National Forest as we had seen these indicated on one of our maps. We also noticed a State Park indicated on
Henry Lake and thought these may be possibilities as they were near the road we
would need to take to get to red rock lakes national wildlife refuge. We thought we ...
... number of trucks on the road. It was below 0 outside so we were happy to stay in the car. The road is very high up with big snow drift fences on either side of the road which indicates there is lots of snow and wind on the road. There were also icicles on a number of the road signs and the trucks. Finally made it to Laramie and got to our warm and clean Days Inn. Then out to look at the CBD and get some ...
... go for pizza in Centennial, at the Bear Tree Tavern. This is a cute little village and they get quite a lot of people in winter because there is a ski resort nearby. Before we get there, though, we see over 100 elk on the prairie. The guy at the restaurant tells us that every year, when hunting season starts, the elk come to this private property where the owner does not allow hunting in it. Wow, smart animals, the elk! ...
