    On Sunday we had to drive out of the park to Custer City to watch the final game. We found the Buglin Bull Sports Bar and had a table with a TV, just for us. As it was lunchtime we had the lekker roast beef special with some Sammy Adams beer to wash it down. As I was hoping for, it was 'Deutschland ueber alles’ well deserved.

    ... the town of Hot Springs. Some of the hot springs feed the stream running into the town from the stream bed, so we splashed around there for a bit. These springs are also known for their special mineral content. After camping for days, it felt great to swim in the hot springs.

    ... entered. We spent a few hours at the Shedd Aquarium, we saw pretty much everything that lives in the water, from fish to penguins. There was some really neat observation points, where we were able to have water pretty well on every side of us. We then left Chicago and spent the night at a highly over priced KOA campground in Union Illinois (about 1.5 hour out of Chicago).

    ... and at dusk and in the early morning birds sing amazingly loudly and clearly. You can see a line of peaks right out our front door and window, and it was lovely to wake in the very early morning light and see them silhouetted against the just-lightening sky.
