          The Pits Stop!

A travel blog entry by hitherthither on Jul 23, 2015

We took one night to get to Glacier National Park going along Rt 2. There are pretty slim pickin's for RV campsites and many try to get you close to some sleezy casino. We jammed ourselves into our space which was billed as a pull thru, full hookup. Today, we drove to Harve, MT and the Evergreen Campground just north of town. The owners were very nice and helpful and accommodated us ...

A travel blog entry by tslatta on Aug 23, 2014

After 3 "ear popping" mountain passes over the beautiful Rockies, the powerful rolling hills of "Beef Country" took us to the plains of wheat country around Great Falls to Havre. One hour behind home time, but tummy doesn't know that yet! First time to use windshield wipers in several ...

... s famous, Underground City. The "Beneath The Streets" tour was a historical walk through the basement level business district after a 1840 fire destroyed the city during the Wild West days. When we surfaced, we discovered the CRV had a flat tire, so after a call to AAA and a visit to TireRama we set up camp at Pepin Town Park ...
