It's travel day and was a long day. We got up around 6 AM. Got ready and mostly packed. We ran into Harlan for breakfast where Harlan and I had coffee and Joel had one waffle.
We checked out around 9:45 AM and headed to Harold and Marlene's house where she served us breakfast. Cinnamon rolls, fresh fruits, eggs, sausage, muffins as well as champagne.
Cousins started leaving around 11 AM and we were the last to leave at 1 PM. Our flight from Fargo to ...
... I had bratwurst, hot potato salad, and beans for lunch. Joel had a bbq sandwich with the same sides. Lunch was good. We stayed at Oktoberfest until 2 PM and then headed grandpa and grandma Petrich's gravesite.
We also rode on a carousel which was near Harold and Marlene's house. Photos below.
Dinner was Alan Petrich's fried fish. It was delicious. Marlene also got Alan his birthday cake.
... they were home and we spent some time catching up. Lana gave us one of Cindy's watercolor painting of a mermaid. We left the Sands around 10:35 AM and drove to Harold and Marlene's house before 11:30 AM. Then, we headed to the historical Bagg Bonanza Farm. The history of the farm was very interesting. Some of the equipment they had on display reminded Joel and his cousins of the equipment they had on their farms.
After the bonanza farm tour, we ...
... in Miller SD and got lunch/dinner to go. We finally arrived at Baymont Inn & Suites in Wahpeton around 8:30 PM. After we dropped off out luggage, we went to Marlene and Harold's house. We saw and chatted with Alan and Mary, Janell and Gary, and Harold and Marlene. We left their house around 10:15 PM after having a piece of chocolate zucchini cake. Delicious.

Grass! Water! Humidity! It's been 6 weeks of 15% humidity. Boy do we feel the change. But it is nice. The dogs love it! There is grass again. Drove across the state of North Dakota today. The sky was a crazy color. Turns out it was smoke all the way from the Oregon, Washington and Idaho fires. The summer of fires. I hope they get rain soon.
