... food was lovely. This morning we went out for another great US experience - the International House of Pancakes. Ellie guaranteed we would get milk shakes there.... And NO, no milks shakes. It's like the continuation of a joke! Anyway despite this, breaks was grand, the kind of place where when you order a coffee you get a bottomless pitcher. And it was good coffee! It also appears that everywhere you go here, you can get jack and cheese which is dangerous for me, but so far ...
... and then headed out to dinner at Devinci’s Italian café and pub. Scarfed up on some spaghetti and salad. Back at the lake house I resorted all of our suitcases and bags and got them ready to put into the car tomorrow while we wash the sheets from the bed and remake the bad. Then we will be off to South Bend, IN. Or as Dave calls it, enemy territory…..

... of junk. Next stop, the little red schoolhouse antiques where I found a red canister I'm going to use as a coffee table. Then, we drove to Kalamazoo, found a hotel, ate some delicious e pesto and artichoke pizza. Tomorrow we'll do some more antiquing and head over to Sues for the next few days. I really really really want to head home early, but I don't know that it's going to happen. We'll see how the next few days ...
I didn't write for a couple of days because I was just so damn tired. So, I chose sleep over memories. Lets see if I can get caught up. 4th of July was spent at Uncle Pat's. We got up, went to see Lincoln's tomb, ate lunch at a local brewery in downtown Springfield, picked up Koren and Jake at the Amtrak station, and then headed out to Pat and Jill's where we sat outside until it was time to go pick up Jake's girlfriend, Meret.
