Well, this is our final blog post-we started with a selfie in Chicago on July 5 and we will end with a selfie in Cancun. I can't believe 35 days have passed so quickly. While I'm excited to wear new clothes and shower regularly, I will miss Mexico. However, I won't miss packing my backpack. And I know Alissa won't miss carrying hers. It has been quite the trip! Had breakfast at the Hyatt. Walked around downtown Milwaukee for 4 and half hours. Saw a lot of interesting old buildings. Our favorite is City Hall which is in the process of being restored. Outside architectural features are very elaborate. It was built in the Flemish style similar to elaborate city halls in Holland and Germany. Inside was also very unique. We picked up Thomas at his apartment building near the lakeshore of Lake Michigan and drove back along the Interstate 94 west to ...
I missed taking a photo of this (I mean, the window). In the bathtub there was a window and when open, there was a 23-story sheer drop to the ground. The shampoo, conditioner and soap were stored on the ledge.
Two days after I arrived, one of the bottles was missing and no one remembered taking it out of there. I didn't see it drop (therefore no photo) but the wind must have taken it.
