Gas prices range from $3.29 to $3.39. Not too bad, eh? Grateful for cooler day, but still muggy. Chinese-laundry didn't dry overnight! The head of Mississippi River is located in a heavily treed Lake Itasca SP near Bemidji, MN. Not as dynamic ...

We could see the water being pumped out with the bilge pump in the back, and after a few more tense minutes, Dad said it looked like his plug had fallen out. This wasn't good. He started his engine and moved his boat as quickly as he could toward the nearest boat docks at Dick's Resort. We followed close ...

Monday is the day we usually start fishing, and although the wind was blowing at about 20 mph, the sun was shining so we decided we had to at least try our luck. Anyway, long story short, we had no luck. It's hard to find fish when all your usual spots are rough and full of white caps. In our two hours out, we caught one fish (total!) which wasn't even a keeper. Better luck next time!

Tom took a bike ride in the afternoon, while I read my ...
