... afterwards we stopped at one high vantage point to take photos and were lucky enough to spot a Californian grey whale in the water, which was breaching in the surf not far from the shore. Whilst we were following the whale, a flock of brown pelicans flew over our heads, very close to us and we were surprised to see that they keep a v formation, very like ducks and geese do back at home.

So we just got back to base last night and I am tasting the sweetness of freedom. It comes with me walking the mile or so to Starbucks and getting a Caramel Machiatto. I haven't had a Starbucks in a while and more importantly I didn't have to arrange a trip prior to wanting to go. On other things, I will update you on life.
We finished up our project at William Heise which was uneventful except that I got to drive the giant John Deere ...

... work, but also did rock wall climbing, zip-linning, and my all time favorite the high ropes! I loved the high ropes course. We were up in the trees about 30 ft and used harnesses to get around. There were tight ropes and swinging things. I felt like such a little kid and I was so proud of my abilities to climb around without need my harness.
I am starting to really love my team. I have driven our big passenger van ...
