Met Jim and Sue at meeting place shortly after 9:00am this morning. We're doing the first leg of our journey with them! Nice to have some travel buddies :) We left London at 9:30 am. ... and the children!! Only took an hour to reach Toronto so was good to be free from those children. Was given the 3rd degree by the customs officer - thought for a moment I was on "Border Control". Asked why here in Canada, where I had come from, how long staying, when returning home, how I knew the people I was staying with, needed to see my return ticket, why going to other places etc etc. I finally decided to tell him I was there for a Tao Conference, so ...

Today is the last day here with Cindy. Another 5 children today - Faith (4), Serenity (5), Gwen (4), Jackson (20 months), Jimmy (9 months). All different personalities but mostly play well together. ... ones. Not much time to sit and relax. But lots of fun and very rewarding at the same time. Brought back lots of good memories to me of my teaching days. I took a photo of the big girls when outside having a "Popsicle". After tea Cindy Jim and I went to Diescht's Icecream Parlour. They were voted best in the state for 2014. ... silo that is tall and made of bricks with a metal top. The new ones are all metal. The restaurant we went to specialised in ribs - pork and beef - so I had a toasted cheese sandwich and French fries which were great. It was great to meet more of Jim's extended family and the brothers all look alike. Afterwards we drove back to Findlay and Cindy updated the fairy garden she has made for the children.
