We spent the morning strolling thru Heraklion. The tourist season is mainly over here as well. Also, it was Sunday so not many shops were open. We saw a lot of well dressed locals, probably all returning from church.

We returned to Athens Sunday night, another ten hour ride with little to no sleep, and then took a bus from the port to school. I returned home Monday morning at 8:30 am with class at 11 am. Thus far we have been, as my son David said, drinking out of a fire hose of history. Tomorrow morning we board a ferry to the fantasy land of Santorini. I think we can settle into sunshine and relaxation. We have enjoyed the history, but it is time to move on.
