Day two we wake up and go to breakfast.i had a new type of cereal it was yummy.i had yoghurt with it. mum tried to drive she was scared that she was going to run over the bike riders. in italy the people drive on the other side of the road. later that morning, mum marcella frankie and i went to an adventure park. the adventure park was an abseiling rope course high above the ground in the pine trees in the alps. we were given safty equipment which was a harness and a helmet. ...

... Heiligenblut, Lienz Good ride, sleet and rain at the top of Grossglockener. We did it - no probelms on the GrossGlockner pass and just stunning views. Only sleeting a lttle bit at the top (trying to stay positive!) Found the hotel that my parents stayed in Dobbiaco. Swim,sauna and football for the men before a truely delicious 6 course meal all included in the price. My God, I'm going to become a little fat piglet with all this Italian ...

... started walking back the way we came except for Geoff and Pepi who took another route back but there was much more snow and it took a little longer. We came back to Rifugio Lavaredo and I had a very welcome hot chocolate before the final leg of the walk back to Rifugio Auronzo where Ron was waiting with the van to take us back to the hotel. We were lucky with the weather as we bad no rain and it wasn't too cold but in typical alpine weather was sometimes quite warm ...

... I got thoroughly wet, even with a little warning I didn't see the point in putting wet weather gear on as I figured I would be getting wet doing it. So fully wet and bloody cold I struggled north at pretty high speed looking for the turn to go west into the mountains. Well I blame the rain, and more likely through exhaustion and tiredness, before I knew it I had overshot the turnoff by 25kms !!
