    ... area. At this point it was getting kind of late so we assumed all of the attractions would be closed and we wouldn't be able to see much. There happened to be a huge carnival/fair going on in the Olympic plaza so we walked around there for while, but we were correct we couldn't see many of the Olympic sites.     ... we went to one of the famous beer halls where the men wear lederhosen and the women were wearing derndels. The smallest size of beer they sell is a litre!     So Sundays in Germany are relatively quiet days, even more so when it's raining and miserable. It's even quieter when you can't check into your accommodation until 8pm, therefore are stuck wandering through the city with a suitcase all day.     ... 3 hours to Verona. I think it's going to be a long day!

    Germany has been good to us and we've enjoyed our time here. Good friends, good beer and Munich is right up there in terms of my favourite European cities: it might actually be top, I'm not sure.

    Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to post an entry from Innsbruck but if not I'll write it in the evening from Verona.
