This week I really managed to nail down a decent routine of work, gym, rest, repeat. The gym part was necessary as I had eaten myself stupid over easter, and I felt like a baloon until Thursday or Friday. Things at work were ramping up and I got an invite to the executive meeting the week after, so I started preparing all the info I would need to contribute to the meeting.

... Town I was really beginning to slow down. So far I had been in daylight for 20ish hours, and my body was starting to struggle. I napped almost as soon as I got in my seat, until my superhuman ability to recognise food-time woke me up as they were serving dinner. We landed about an hour later, and it was then I realised that as I had no working phone or internet, nor the address of where I was staying, if no one was at the airport to pick me up I was a little bit screwed.

We were delivered to the airport in time for our 3 pm flight to Capetown. Our guide there, Gordon Jacobs, picked us up in a minibus with a trailer for our luggage. Today we saw this tiny lady who I thought was in her upper 80s nearly 90 but she was only 59 years old!! She had absolutely no meat on her body, she was entirely bones. (of course I got pictures don't worry) she had Pneumonia and seemed like she was only going to make it maybe a couple more months. Her young daughter is taking care of her and she has ...
Friday night was one of the most amazing evenings of my life. It sounds a bit over dramatic but it really was! Have you ever had one of those moments where you look around and just go "this is amazing, I'm going to remember this forever"? That was exactly what it was like.
